Casa Tortuga Facilities

Casa Tortuga is a beachfront home fully equipped with all the amenities for a family or group of friends to live for a few days to several months.  The home is open-style architecture, all completed in tropical hard woods and while rustic, is fully equipped and comfortable.

The two story home does not have rooms on the two floors.  The open air configuration offers privacy only between the floor.  The second story is primarily a sleeping area, with two double beds and a single bed, sleeping five people in beds.  There is a full bathroom on this floor and a large deck with hammocks and lounging chairs.  The decks is sufficiently spacious to provide for additional sleeping on foam mattresses.  A wrap-around roofed veranda completely circles the house

The first floor has a full kitchen, a bathroom and a double bed and a single bed, sleeping three people on this level in beds.  It also has a large covered patio with room for expansion sleeping on foam pads.

The kitchen includes a gas stove with an oven and a propane refrigerator.  A full set of cookware, plates, glasses, cups, silverware, and cooking utensils are provided that enable any sort of food preparation desired.

There is no hot water. 

Electricity is 12 volt only, and there are lights and fans.  No electrical appliances may be used at Casa Tortuga, and there is no Internet.  For those interested in Internet and charging their laptops, for an additional fee of $35 per day, an Internet card and plug in inverter can be supplied that will enable broadband Internet access and the ability to recharge your laptop.

A full set of linens and towels are provided. 

Laundry and catering services are provided as desired by the property caretakers who live 75 meters away beside the access road.  The facility is secure with twenty-four hour vigilance ensured by the property watchman.  The home has its own private parking.
